Couples Euchre

This month's Couples Euchre is Saturday April 26 at the home of Melissa and Dave Verduyn.  We start at 7:00 p.m. sharp!  Come join us!!  We welcome all members and spouses/dates or single gals in our Newcomers group and potential NEW members.  We rotate partners and move to different tables after each round so it's a mixer, too.  Bring an appetizer to share, $5.00 per person and quarters for the euchre pot.  Please RSVP to Melissa by Thursday April 24 or send an e-mail to euchre_couples@troynewcomers.entryhost.com.

Couples Bowling

Time to sign up for next year's league starting on September 12.  We bowl at Troy Lanes located on Square Lake just west of John R every other Friday night at 6:45 p.m.  We have a great time—both teams sit together and no one smokes on our league at our tables.  It’s a great way to meet other couples and have a fun night out.  Some of the couples go out to eat afterward at area restaurants.  If you want to meet more people while doing a little bit of exercise, please consider joining our league or being a substitute.

Ladies Bowling

It's getting close to the end of the year - if you are thinking about bowling on our Tuesday morning league next year and haven't told Jane Egermann, please let her know so she can add you to her list.  The first day of bowling will be September 2.   If you can't commit to every Tuesday, we can always use more subs for the league, so if you're interested, please email bowling_ladies@troynewcomers.entryhost.com or call Jane Egermann.

Ladies Games Night (Girls' Night Out)

Spring is here - you can get out of hibernation now.  Here’s your chance to get out and have some fun.  We play all types of different games that are easy to learn.  Come on Wednesday, April 30, at 7:30 to the home of Linda Marx.  We have been having very big groups this year, so call early to reserve your spot because we are limited to 12 people.   Please RSVP to Linda by April 25.  If you want to help out by bringing a snack, dessert, or drink, please let Linda know what you can bring.  Any questions, contact Laura Carlin or send an e-mail to

Mah Jongg

Mah Jongg is a traditional Chinese game played with tiles in which you try to match a set hand to win.  We play on the 2nd Friday of each month September through June at 9:30 a.m. 

We enjoy introducing new people to the game and your preschool children are welcome to come along.

Wine Enjoyment Experience

 (formerly Wine Tasting, Experience, Wine Time)

In April, we will be having a REAL Wine Tasting experience at the Fieldstone Winery facilities in Rochester on Saturday, April 19 at 6:00 p.m.  We will be tasting 12 different wines and will learn how to make our own wine.  The cost is $15.00 per person.  DON'T bring your own wine glass this time but DO bring an appetizer to share.  RSVP to Jill Smith by Thursday April 17th.  Space is limited so call ASAP if you want to join us.
