Why are we so great
to be a part of?
Besides a great way to
meet new women and, for those new to Troy, to get to know the area, we offer
plenty of ways to keep you active outside of work and home.
-
Service:
Donations throughout
the year for a local charity selected by club
members; sponsoring a South Oakland Shelter Dinner; supporting a local
family with donations of food, household supplies and holiday giving; and volunteering with
Troy senior citizens and local nursing homes.
-
Social:
Luncheons,
coffees, wine tasting, games night, cards, bridge and
other fun activities
-
Sports: Bowling, golf leagues and ski
club
-
Children: Toddler outings,
playgroups and seasonal parties.
It doesn't matter whether you've just moved here
or you grew up here. We welcome all Troy women. And there is no
limit to how long you can be a Troy Newcomer. We have brand new members
and members that have been around since their grown children were active in
toddler playgroups.
Troy Newcomers Club thanks you for your interest
and hopes you will contact us to learn more about our organization. Please
click on the MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION link at the top of the Home Page.
Mission Statement
The purpose of
the Troy Newcomers Club is to take an active interest in the social and civic
welfare of our community. We are committed to undertaking and promoting
charitable and humanitarian projects within our community. We
also provide residents an opportunity, through activities, to become acquainted
with others in the area and inform members about our area. By providing
a strong network of area women we will aid our community through the gift of our
time and energy.

Michigan Humane Society Wish List
The Detroit Shelter of the
Humane Society is in desperate need of items for their shelter.
I am a volunteer at this shelter and am constantly appalled by
the lack of supplies on hand to properly provide for unwanted
animals, especially in the winter. If you can donate any of the
items on this list, I know you would give a cold and hungry
animal a second chance. Please email me at bhoganmon@aol.com and
I will pick these items up at your convenience and take them to
the shelter. Thank you for your generosity!
ITEMS NEEDED ARE:
towels, small blankets,
Clorox wipes, baby wipes, toys,Kleenex, food & treats, latex & vinyl
gloves, crates & carriers, step stools, scratching posts, batteries,
collars, leashes, office supplies |
Fundraisers!!!
Operating expenses are always rising and in order to keep membership
dues economical we run several fundraisers throughout the year.
Please check the Socials & Fundraising link at the top of this page
to see how you can help.

S.O.S Dinner
Thank you
again to Troy Newcomers for helping the "South Oakland Shelter" where the homeless go
month after month, year after year. Though some work, they
are still homeless, so many churches feed and house them one week out
of a year. TNC sponsored one dinner for about 30
people by donating money to purchase food.
Your support has always been outstanding.
Thank you
again. June McPherson. |
