The meeting in November will be hosted by Janet G. on Wednesday, November 18. Please see our directory for Janet’s address. We’ll meet at 6:45, book discussion will start at 7:15. The chosen book is “The Dutch House” by Ann Patchett. She will provide the questions to those attending prior to the meeting. The meeting will be indoors, so everyone must wear a mask. Please contact Janet if you plan to attend. Attendance will be based upon a first contact basis since she can only have 9 members (current gathering restrictions). If more than 9 confirm attendance, she’ll start a cancellation list.
A reminder email will be sent in early November to those currently on the Book Club list. We have volunteers to host the book club through August 2021. We have such a wonderful group of ladies who love recommending and reading interesting books!
Evening euchre is not scheduled this month. Hope to see everyone soon!
We’re an intermediate group and welcome new players. If you’ve played Euchre before, consider joining us for a fun evening! Contact Mary Ann D. at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about this activity.
We finally were able to get back to bowling, a bit later than usual, a different day and a bit smaller group than normal. But, back none the less! We have five teams of three and one bye team for a total of 6 teams this year. If you are interested in subbing for us please contact Marie W. or Darcel C. We maintain social distance rules, wear masks and leave one lane between all teams when bowling.
If interested please contact Marie W.
Ladies Daytime Euchre
We do not have a hostess for this month. If anyone would like to hostess, we have openings every month except May 2021. Please contact Gina K. if you are interested in hosting.
Please contact Gina or e-mail email@example.com for further information or if you are interested in hosting this activity.
Ladies Game Night (Girls’ Night Out)
Looking forward to some enjoyable activities next year. Please let Jill M. know if you would like to host a fun evening.
If you would like more information about Game Night, please contact Jill M. or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Okay, I guess we’ll settle for semi-normal. We managed a small group on the second Friday. Maybe November will be better. Or, since our second Friday falls on Friday the 13th, maybe not. If you not superstitious, join us at 9:30 am. If you’d prefer afternoons, we will also play on the 27th at 1 pm. If you plan to attend, please let Jane E. know so she can set up the tables accordingly.
We would welcome newbies to the game. Tables will be set up in separate rooms, hand sanitizer available, and any treats will be prewrapped. Technically we are limited to 10 people and will need to wear masks. Obviously, we cannot sit at the same table and maintain 6 foot distances but we will try to respect one another’s space.
Please e-mail Jane at email@example.com for more information about mah jongg.
Meadow Brook Ushering
Meadow Brook Theatre has cancelled the fall schedule along with A Christmas Carol. They plan to open in March 2021 for the same plays that were scheduled for last season:
Mary Jane March 24-28
Little Shop of Horrors April 28-May 2, 2021
Fancy, A new Country Musical June 2-June 6, 2021
If you would like to usher or substitute for these 3 scheduled plays, please let Laura C. know now. There are a few openings available. You are welcome to usher with your spouse if there is an available spot. Send her an email and she will let you know what times/days are available.
If you would like information regarding ushering at Meadow Brook in the future or have questions, please call Laura C. or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Debbie R. will host an evening scrapbooking event Wednesday November 18 at 6PM. She will provide snacks and drinks. Please contact her if you plan to attend. She has limited spaces available so we have enough space to work.
Men are like wine – some turn to vinegar, but the best improve with age. There are no wine tasting events scheduled. If you would like to host a wine tasting at some future date, contact Ann B.
If you would like more information or have ideas on additional activities for the Club, please send an email to email@example.com.
