Couples/Evening Euchre

The next Couples/Evening euchre will be in September.  Look for more information in the September newsletter.

Singles are welcome as well as couples. We’re an intermediate group and welcome new players. If you’ve played Euchre before, consider joining us for a fun evening!

Contact Mary Ann at for more information about this activity.

  Ladies Bowling

Bowling will resume in September. Our league is a fun and social league for bowlers of any skill level. We bowl on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am at Escape (formerly known as Troy Lanes) from September through April. Three person teams will be formed in August by a random draw. If you are interested in joining our league as either a regular bowler or substitute, please contact Susan H.

It’s friendly, fun, non-competitive, we get a little exercise and it’s a great way to socialize with the Club!! Call or email Marie W. or Susan H. if you’re interested, or send an e-mail to

Mah Jongg

Mah jongg will be on June 7th (the first Friday in June) at 9:30 am. Thanks to the players in May who agreed to the change. Afternoon mah jongg will remain on the fourth Friday (June 28th) at 1 pm.

Speaking of May mah jongg – Jane E. went mah jongg on not one, but two, singles and pairs hands at the morning session. (If you don’t know what that means, you need to come let us teach you the game!)

The July schedule is currently back to our accustomed dates of the second and fourth Fridays (July 12th at 9:30 and July 26th at 1:00) but make sure you contact Jane so you can be notified if anything changes. Also let her know if you plan to come or need directions.

Please e-mail Jane at for more information.

Meadow Brook Ushering

This is your chance to see professional plays for free for less than an hour of your time. If you would like to usher as a regular you need to be available for most of the plays; if not, please consider being a substitute because we need your commitment if you want to be a regular. For more information, please see the August or September newsletter or please email Laura C.

Ushers must report at least 50 minutes before their performance wearing black pants/skirt and white blouse or sweater. Sign in and get your usher badge and return the badge before the play starts, so you won’t forget. The performances are on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Thursdays at 8:00 p.m., Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 6:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. There is also an option to usher with your spouse if there is room.

We always need substitutes, so please contact Laura if you want to be added to the sub list.  If you are interested in ushering or have questions, please call Laura C. or email

Don’t forget to capture those memories in photos that can be made into pages to fill your scrapbooks. The August and September newsletters will have more information on Debbie’s plans for our group and she will also be at the Newcomer Kick Off Night this fall. Hope to see you there!

If you are interested in participating or have questions, please call Denise or e-mail
