Ladies Daytime Euchre

We are playing this month on WEDNESDAY, December 18 at 9:15 am at the home of Mary Ann D. in Troy (see directory for address). Please RSVP to her by Monday, Dec 16. If you are not a regular hostess, let her know if you wish to bring a breakfast item for that morning. We are beginner friendly and always looking for new people, so invite a new friend or come on by.

A Big Thank You to Laura C. for hosting in November and all that brought food! Hope to see everyone for a fun day of coffee, food, laughter, and of course “Some Euchre Playing” , if we can fit it in!!!

Please contact Gina or e-mail for further information or if you are interested in hosting this activity.

Ladies Game Night (Girls’ Night Out)

Because it’s a busy during time of year, we will not be having games night in December. Please look for information about our January games night in the next newsletter. We still need hostesses for February through May. If you are interested in hosting, please contact Linda M. As the hostess, you can choose the date that’s convenient for you and limit the number of guests depending on the size of your home.

Please remember if we don’t have a hostess, we will not be meeting that month. Wishing every member a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Looking forward to seeing you at games night in January.

If you would like more information about Game Night, please contact Linda M. or e-mail

Mah Jongg

Reward yourself for finishing your Christmas shopping early (or engage in denial!) by coming to mah jongg on Friday, December 13 at 9:30 am. As usual, we will meet at the home of Jane E. At the moment, we are not planning mah jongg on December 27. Make sure you are on Jane’s mah jongg contact list in case this changes. Please contact Jane if you plan to come or need directions.

Please e-mail Jane at for more information.

Meadow Brook Ushering

This is your chance to see professional plays for free! We usher for 5 more plays this season and are able to see the plays for less than an hour of our time. If you would like to usher this season, email or call Laura C. Please see the dates in the newsletter to see if you are available for most of them; if not, please consider being a substitute. We usher for the 3rd week of the play (not necessarily the 3rd week of the month). Ushers should report at least 50 minutes before their performance and wear black pants and a white shirt.

The performances are on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Thursdays at 8:00 p.m., Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 6:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Please see the newsletter for the list of plays and dates. A Christmas Carol will need more substitutes to fill in for additional performances. There is also an option to usher with your spouse if there is room. Please let me know immediately as spots are in high demand.

We have a few openings for Sundays and Fridays. We always need substitutes. Please let Laura know if you are interested. If you need more information or have questions, please call Laura C. or email

This month we will be meeting on Thursday, Dec 12 for an evening session of cropping at the home of Darcel C. in Rochester Hills. Come as early as 6 and stay as late as 11. Contact Darcel directly if you plan to attend. Her phone number and address can be found in the Newcomers directory.

If you are interested in participating or have questions, please call Denise or e-mail
