Janet G. will host the Wednesday May 19th meeting. She will host virtually, executing via a Google Meet meeting, as this platform does not have any time constraints. She has chosen “Olive Again” by Elizabeth Strout. This book is a continuation of our April book, “Olive Ketteridge”. It’s available at the Troy Library in various forms right now!
The virtual meeting will start at 7:00 pm. Please contact Janet to RSVP.
Please try to read and attend. I’m hoping this is our last virtual meeting, as June warmer weather should allow an outside meeting. Janet G. will send an update and files to those on the Book Club list early May.
We have volunteers to host the book club through August 2021. We have such a wonderful group of ladies who love recommending and reading interesting books!
Evening euchre is not scheduled this month. Hope to see everyone soon!
We’re an intermediate group and welcome new players. If you’ve played Euchre before, consider joining us for a fun evening! Contact Mary Ann D. at email@example.com for more information about this activity.
Our bowling season ended on April 29th. The new season will start in September. We bowl on Thursday mornings at 9:30 at Escape on Square Lake Rd. in Troy (although it’s possible the day may change). If you are interested in joining our league or subbing, please contact Marie W. We maintain social distance rules, wear masks and leave one lane between all teams when bowling.
Ladies Daytime Euchre
We are playing this month on WEDNESDAY, May 26 at 9:30 am at the home of Martha B. WE WILL REMAIN COVID FRIENDLY WITH MASKS, GOOD HANDWASHING AND HAND SANITIZER! Martha will take the first 12 people for 3 tables total. Martha lives in Troy (see directory for address). Please RSVP to her by Monday, May 24, see directory for her number and email. If you are not a regular hostess, let Martha know if you wish to bring a breakfast item for that morning – COVID friendly please! We are beginner friendly and always looking for new people, so invite a new friend or come on by!
A Big Thank You to Marie W. for hosting in April!
Hope to see everyone for a fun day of coffee, food, fun and laughter, and of course “Some Euchre Playing”!
STAY HEALTHY EVERYONE!!!
Please contact Gina or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for further information or if you are interested in hosting this activity.
Ladies Game Night (Girls’ Night Out)
Darcel C. will be hosting our first game night of this year. Yay!
It will be held at Darcel’s house on Thursday, May 13, at 6:30. Please call or email Darcel to let her know if you are coming. All are welcome for a fun night of beginner friendly games.
If you would like more information about Game Night, please contact Jill M. or e-mail email@example.com.
We will play on May 14th at 9:30 am and on May 28th at 1:00. All play will be at the home of Jane E. To make sure you’re on top of any date/time changes, you need to be on Jane’s email distribution list. Contact Jane at if you are interested in adding your name to the list.
We continue to follow Covid protocols as much as possible. Obviously, we cannot be six feet apart but we are wearing masks and washing hands frequently. New people are always welcome. We enjoy teaching the game to all.
Please e-mail Jane at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about mah jongg.
Meadow Brook Ushering
Meadow Brook Theatre Ushering Canceled until Fall 2021

“Wine is poetry in a bottle.” There are no wine tasting events scheduled for May. There may be a wine tasting scheduled in late June when the weather is more suited to an outdoor gathering. Let Ann B. know your feelings regarding this. See the directory for Ann’s contact information.
If you would like more information or have ideas on additional activities for the Club, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
