TNC will have a food drive supporting Rochester Area Neighborhood House. See the October newsletter for the list of food items needed for their Pantry. Please bring your food items or cash/check donations to our Mini Kickoff gathering Thursday, September 17th at the Raintree Park pavilion on John R. Please make checks out to Kimberlee U. and note “Food drive” in the memo. A signup sheet/envelope will be available at the gathering for collection. If you are not attending the Mini Kickoff, the food drive will continue throughout September, October and mid-November. There’s plenty of options for donating. You can contact Kimberlee and she will pick up food items and/or cash/check, or you can use the PayPal button below, or you can drop off at her house. More to come on this great service. Thank you in advance for your participation.

TNC is partnering with Friends of Foster Kids for Christmas 2020. This is a great opportunity to help foster children experience Christmas by getting gifts on their wish list. The Club will be supporting six foster recipients from the Oakland county area, ages three to nineteen. Due to Covid19, we will be doing the wish lists a little different this year. Kimberlee will be collecting cash/checks and doing online shopping to maintain social distancing. Friends of Foster Kids requires all gifts to be delivered to their Van Dyke location between October 31st and November 26th. This shortens the length of time for shopping. Our goal is to collect $2,154 to cover the six wish lists, an average of $358 per child. Please bring your cash/check to our Mini Kickoff gathering Thursday, September 17th at the Raintree Park pavilion on John R or for your convenience use the PayPal donate button below. Please make all checks out to Kimberlee U. and note “FOFK” in memo. A signup sheet/envelope will be available at the gathering for collection. You can also send a cash/check to Kimberlee. If you have any questions please contact Kimberlee U. More details to follow on this much needed organization.

Each month, September through May, White Rose Awards are given in appreciation to members serving on the board who have made an outstanding contribution to our club. In addition, Red Rose Awards are given in appreciation to members not serving on the board who have also made significant contributions to our club. Troy Newcomers Club is truly grateful for the time these women take out of their busy schedules and the extraordinary effort they put forth on behalf of our club. Please see the newsletter for more information about these wonderful women.
