Senior Baking

Important News about Cakes for the Senior Birthday Parties from Terry S., Co-coordinator
Dear Club Members – I received word over the Holidays that the Community Center is no longer able to accept homemade food, in accordance with County Health Regulations. The Friends of Troy Seniors expressed regret that they would no longer be serving homemade cakes, which the seniors had greatly appreciated. They were very grateful for our many years of service.
I did not feel it appropriate to ask the baking volunteers to supply store bought cakes, when this was not in most cases what they had signed up for. The Friends have now found a sponsor to provide cakes for the rest of this year, so we will no longer be involved. A BIG Thank You to all the volunteers who have provided cakes over the years, many on a very regular basis.
If anyone wishes to pursue an idea for another service project, please contact any Board member

Rose Awards

Each month, September through May, White Rose Awards are given in appreciation to members serving on the board who have made an outstanding contribution to our club. In addition, Red Rose Awards are given in appreciation to members not serving on the board who have also made significant contributions to our club. Troy Newcomers Club is truly grateful for the time these women take out of their busy schedules and the extraordinary effort they put forth on behalf of our club. Please see the newsletter for more information about these wonderful women.
