Book Club
Please join us at the May 20 meeting, hosted by Julie F. Her book is Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell. A historical drama that imagines the life of William Shakespeare’s family and the tragic death of his 11-year-old son, Hamnet. The story, also a 2025 film adaptation, focuses on the intense grief of his wife, and suggests that this profound loss inspired Shakespeare to write the tragedy Hamlet.
Please contact Julie to confirm you will attend. We’ll meet at 6:30 pm. Find her address within the TNC directory
To be or not to be, that is the question.

Mah Jongg
What an unexpected bonus!!! Most of our players received their 2026 cards by March 27th so we had our first session with the current year card. It’s a hard one with a lot of singles and pairs mixed in with the regular hands.
If you didn’t understand that previous sentence, you should come to mah jongg in May and we’ll be glad to explain it to you. We will be playing on Friday the 8th at 9:30 am and Friday the 22nd at 1 pm. at the home of Jane E.
Please let Jane know if you plan to attend or need directions to her house.
Please e-mail Jane at mahjongg@troynewcomers.com for more information about mah jongg.

Our next performance is Million Dollar Quartet! December 4, 1956: an extraordinary twist of fate brings Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever, with an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations that are both poignant and funny. Relive the era with many incredible smash-hits!
